FUZE 2022: How To Get Involved
BY LILY ROBERTS
Are you a musician, designer, dancer, or writer? Do you fancy trying your hand at being a model or showcasing your talent? Are you interested in gaining invaluable professional experience that will look great on your CV and prepare you for the future? Then FUZE is the place for you!
WHAT IS FUZE?
FUZE is a youth-led music, fashion and dance collective based in Bristol, and is soon to expand to Manchester and London. With the four core values of sustainability, creativity, diversity and inclusivity, it is a safe place for people to showcase their talents and meet new people. We are a non-profit organisation which raises money throughout the year at vibrant and unmissable events. See our Instagram, @fuze_uk, for an insight into what FUZE got up to last year!
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
Due to the organisation’s impressive social and financial growth over the past few years, there are now even more ways to get involved in FUZE. All you need to join the FUZE Family is enthusiasm and a passion for what the organisation stands for!
Bristol Casting
Unfortunately casting has now finished for this year’s Bristol show. However, they will be on again this time next year, so come along if you want to try your hand at modelling! This will be for models, musicians and dancers who will take part in the Bristol main show in 2023, as well as photoshoots and other events leading up to it.
FUZE has a cast of vibrant and confident people who love being in the spotlight! We welcome cast members regardless of gender, race, body type or disability, so there’s always a place for you in FUZE.
London & Manchester Castings
We are super excited for FUZE’s expansion to London and Manchester this year, where we will be hosting events that you can also get involved in. If you’re interested in performing across the country, come along to one of our castings which will take place later in the year. Keep an eye on our social media pages for more information when it’s announced.
Writers
If you’re not much of a performer and would prefer a role behind the scenes, writing for our blog is a great way to get involved! Applications for positions on the team are now closed, but we do take one-off submissions throughout the year. Email blog@fuzeuk.org with a pitch to get your work published. We will be looking for articles about fashion, music, dance, and arts & culture; have a look at the blog on the FUZE website to see what our previous writers have written about.

FUZE Events
Although we are working towards a big final show in 2022, FUZE hosts a range of unmissable events throughout the year that are advertised on our social media pages. In the past year these have included Haus of Horrors (pictured above) and Let’s Get Noughtie - which were both sellout events! Last year FUZE had to grapple with the challenges lockdown presented, and still managed to pull off incredible socially distanced and online events. This year, we’ll be moving on to bigger and better things and continuing to grow, hopefully without the restrictions of COVID-19.
This year we have lots to look forward to; Haus of Horrors is coming back to Lakota on 28/10/21, and our first London event is taking place on 23/10/21 at Metropolis. Check the FUZE instagram to find links to tickets or join the mailing list via the website home page for access to pre-sale codes.
Donate
FUZE is a non-profit organisation that raises money through showcasing talent throughout the year. So one way you can help in our mission is by donating to one or more of the charities we are supporting, which we will be announcing later this year.
