An Introduction to FUZE: How you can get involved
BY IZZY NOONE
With freshers’ week in full swing, why not get involved with the UK’s largest student-run music, fashion and dance collective based in Bristol?
ABOUT FUZE
FUZE is the UK’s largest student-run fashion, music and dance collective based in Bristol. Every year, FUZE takes on a new committee who strive to create positive social change. This year, FUZE has over 47 talented individuals who run the organisation and help give opportunity to creatives in and around Bristol.
FUZE is a non-profit organisation who has annually hosted a show in aid of charity. This year FUZE has expanded into far more than the annual show, becoming a platform for people in Bristol to explore both their creative and commercial talents as well as meet like-minded people and engage in workshops and events throughout the year.
FUZE 2021 has taken on a new challenge of supporting two charities: Black South West Network and Art Refuge.
FUZE has launched this tailor-made campaign to support these two charities because BAME communities and refugees have been hard-hit by the coronavirus pandemic and now need support more than ever.

FUZE EVENTS
One of the most exciting events that FUZE puts on, is the annual charity show. FUZE 2021 is going to be the most ambitious show to date, defying all odds. It will be a vibrant, non-conformist expression of fashion, music and dance allowing audiences to recognise the power of freedom. Although things might look a bit different this year, it will still be an unforgettable event which will raise funds for Black South West Network and Art Refuge.
With COVID-19 at the forefront of all our lives right now, FUZE is actively looking for new ways to engage with its audience, socially distanced or virtually.
All FUZE events will follow government guidelines on social distancing as safety is their number one priority. FUZE is running a variety of workshops, events and talks throughout the year which will be both online and in person. There will also be opportunities for models to take part in editorial photoshoots in the run up to the fashion show. This years’ FUZE will be a true example of how the arts can survive and thrive, despite the difficulties faced as a result of COVID-19.
DONATE
FUZE’s creative community operates as a non-profit allowing them to raise money each year for a chosen South West charity. This year’s FUZE is in aid of two charities: Art Refuge and Black South West Network.
