JOIN THE CREATIVE TEAM

CREATIVE DIRECTOR

This is one of three top management roles within FUZE, alongside the Commercial and Brand Directors, you will be responsible for ensuring FUZE continues to grow and upholds its brand identity and values.

Responsible for the production of the annual Bristol show including managing all creative departments including music, fashion and dance. 

Main responsibilities:

  • Schedule cast auditions and select the cast with the creative department heads.

  • Find a theme for the show and create a narrative that reflects FUZE’s values and aligns with the brand.

  • Work closely with each creative department head and ensure the smooth running of each department and their cast.

  • Manage the overall rehearsal schedule for the show.

  • Work closely with Brand, Commercial and Event departments to plan all creative aspects at FUZE and the logistics behind them (e.g. show budget allocation, tech sourcing, graphics, marketing content, promo shoots, Sofa Sessions, etc).

  • Ensuring all cast personal data are kept protected under the current GDPR policies.

  • With the help of each creative department head, direct the overall show.

  • Direct all email comms to the appropriate creative department.

Skills needed:

  • Past experience managing teams.

  • Experience in production / creative direction.

  • Specialism in either Fashion, Music or Dance.

  • Must be competent in admin tasks including excel, emails, rotas and scheduling. 

Creative Executive

Responsible for supporting the Creative Director with all creative operations and projects. Must be competent in admin tasks including excel, emails, rotas and scheduling. 

 Main responsibilities:

  • Leading all creative departments if the Creative Director is absent.

  • Work closely with the Creative Director and support all creative operations where required (e.g. admin tasks, rehearsal schedules, site visits, scheduling meetings, etc)

HEAD OF ELA (EQUALITY, LIBERATION & ACCESS)

Responsible for ensuring the values of FUZE are upheld and every action of FUZE acts within the best interests of the community. Main point of contact for any issues cast / team may have in relation to FUZE.

Main responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Masc/Femme and Comfortability Fashion Execs and cast coaches to ensure the cast feels supported.

  • To oversee all cast workshops, general rehearsals, events and support where necessary. 

  • Work closely with the Head of Events and Creative Director to ensure all events align with our values and inclusive mission.

DANCE

HEAD OF DANCE

Responsible for overseeing the dance department at FUZE and directing the show from a dance perspective. Must be competent in admin tasks including excel, emails, rotas and scheduling. 

Main responsibilities:

  • Choreograph the general audition routine and lead casting.

  • With the help of the choreographers select the dance cast.

  • Decide the dance styles being used within the show and the overall feel of each scene.

  • Source rehearsal studios and set rehearsal schedules for the year.

  • Work closely with all dancers within the Dance Development Scheme (DDS) and support them in extending their dance knowledge and skills.

  • Work closely with the Head of ELA and ensure the cast is looked after.

HEAD Choreographer

Responsible for overseeing the choreographer team at FUZE and providing the overall guidelines from a dance perspective for the show.

Main responsibilities:

  • Choreograph the general audition routine and lead casting.

  • With the help of the Head of Dance select the dance cast for the show.

  • Decide the dance styles being used within the show and the overall feel of each scene.

  • Manage the choreographer team.

  • Work closely with all dancers within the Dance Development Scheme (DDS) and support them in extending their dance knowledge and skills.

Choreographer (3)

Responsible for creating the choreography for the show, leading and teaching the cast at every rehearsal. Must be competent in admin tasks including excel, emails, rotas and scheduling. 

Main duties include:

  • Lead the department if the Head of Dance is absent.

  • Choreograph the scenes allocated by the Head of Dance.

  • Teach the choreographed routine.

  • Ensure the choreography rises to the standards set by the Head of Dance.

  • Work closely with all dancers within the Dancer Development Scheme (DDS) and support them in extending their dance knowledge and skills.

MUSIC

Head of Music 

Responsible for overseeing the music department at FUZE and directing the show from a music perspective. Must be competent in admin tasks including excel, emails, rotas and scheduling. 

Main duties include:

  • Select musicians for the show that align with the overall creative vision.

  • Ensure each track of the show follows the show narrative and theme.

  • Manage the overall musician rehearsal/workshop schedule.

  • Source music producers for the show.

  • Discuss new ideas to promote musicians and support their development (e.g. Sofa Sessions, music gigs, etc).

  • Oversee and support where required the Music Development Scheme (MDS).

Music Coach (2)

Responsible for leading vocal & performance workshops and the overall wellbeing of the music cast. Must be competent in admin tasks including excel, emails, rotas and scheduling.

Main duties include:

  • Lead the department if the Head of Music is absent.

  • Working closely with the dance department and schedule performance workshops for all musicians.

  • Schedule vocal workshops where necessary.

  • Lead the Music Development Scheme (MDS).

  • Support the Head of Music where required and ensure all musicians are familiar with the show theme and structure.

FASHION

Head of FASHION 

Responsible for all fashion elements and managing the fashion team. Must be competent in admin tasks including excel, emails, rotas and scheduling. 

Main duties include:

  • Selecting the models for the show alongside the creative team. 

  • With the help of the Fashion Executives source designers for the show and ensure all models are dressed.

  • Work closely with the Head of ELA and oversee the show fittings to ensure all models are comfortable with their garments.

  • Discuss ideas to promote the models, the FUZE brand and the designers (e.g. editorials, promo shoots, video shoots, etc).

Fashion Administrator Manager

Responsible for supporting all fashion projects and operations where required. Must be competent in admin tasks including excel, emails, rotas and scheduling.

Main duties include:

  • Lead the fashion team if the Head of Fashion is absent.

  • Assisting the Head of Fashion where required (e.g. sourcing designers, dressing/styling models, etc). Working closely with the Head of ELA and Model Coach to ensure the models are looked after.

  • Managing the models and creating schedules for fittings, casting and final show rehearsals.

Masc Fashion Executive

Responsible for working alongside the Fashion Administrator Manager in dressing masc clothing for the show. Must be competent in admin tasks including excel, emails, rotas and scheduling.

Main duties include:

  • Dressing all masc presenting cast members, including sourcing designers, arranging postage of clothes and styling.

  • Working alongside Femme and Comfortability and Inclusion Execs to ensure all cast members are comfortable with what they are wearing.

Femme Fashion Executive

Responsible for working alongside the Fashion Administrator Manager in dressing femme clothing for the show. Must be competent in admin tasks including excel, emails, rotas and scheduling.

Main duties include:

  • Dressing all femme presenting cast members, including sourcing designers, arranging postage of clothes and styling.

  • Working alongside Masc and Comfortability and Inclusion Execs to ensure all cast members are comfortable with what they are wearing. 

Comfortability and Inclusion Fashion Executive

Responsible for ensuring all shoots, clothing and logistics are inclusive within the fashion team. Specifically focused on making sure clothing is suitable for non-binary, trans and disabled bodies.

Main duties include:

  • Working alongside Masc and Femme execs to ensure all cast members are comfortable with what they are wearing and sourcing any clothes that meet the individual needs of the cast.

Makeup and Hair Manager

Responsible for designing makeup and hair looks for all projects, including the show. Must be competent in admin tasks including excel, emails, rotas and scheduling. 

Main duties include:

  • Sourcing makeup artists for all shoots, campaigns and the final show. 

  • Designing makeup looks for all shoots and the show that align with the overall show vision.

  • Being the lead contact between all external artists and FUZE.

Model Coach

Responsible for managing the models, scheduling workshops and working closely with the Head of ELA to ensure the cast is looked after. Must be competent in admin tasks including excel, emails, rotas and scheduling. 

Main duties include:

  • Responsible for scheduling and leading all modelling workshops.

  • Ensuring the model cast is looked after.

  • Being the lead contact between cast and fashion management.
